Moving right along...
Been moving right through this round, it did of course knock me down for a few days but not quite as long as last time. I’m learning how to manage diet and rest to make sure to take the best care of me as possible. The family is learning also, I almost feel like this round was a little more challenging for them than me. I’m not 100% yet but day by day, step by step I’m trying to overcome the side effects.
One thing I’m also learning is that this journey is way more than just a physical challenge it’s really more of a emotional and mental challenge. We have been hit with lots of emotions and trying to figure those out is even more difficult than just knowing “oh watch the dairy”, eat bland foods or time for a pill. Emotions are high in the house and we are all trying to navigate them the best we can with lots of love, grace and hugs. Crying on a regular basis is the new normal and I’m ok with that. As long as we keep it real and share the journey together we will be ok. This will develop strengths in us we didn’t know we needed or could possibly have. I know God is working on His will in each step.
I spoke too soon about my hair, I am losing a little more than I wanted and I don’t like it one bit. I feel silly saying that but it’s just one part of me I didn’t want to lose. Keep praying it’s minimal and that my emotions don’t get the better of me. I did buy some really cute head bands that I really like so you might see me sporting those around. Shopping is always good therapy.
Overall I think we are doing good. I even went to work for a couple hours today, taught the boys some and am up to date on the grading. I call that a successful day!
Thank for you walking through this journey with us. Your prayers are felt!
