Round 4 Update

Round 4 is complete and not much different than the others, I'm just resting and getting a little stronger every day. It's hard to be knocked down physically when mentally you are still feeling like you should be ok. The mental struggle with this fight has been hard and not something you really think about.

Today, as the family all goes off to church to be a part of our church Christmas program and I'm here at home trying to protect my immune system and feel better, it's hard. I don't like missing out on things with them.  I know this is just a season and we'll get through it but man oh man at times the journey is hard. I'm having to really look for the joy in the little things... like I'm ready for Christmas, all the presents are wrapped and I was able to do that. I shouldn't feel awful on Christmas, I should be over the bad times. The semester of school is over and the kids all did really well on their school grades even in the mist of chaos. All of this brings me joy. We are making it through the journey, one day at a time.

In the next two weeks, I have some doctor appointments to check on things - make sure my body is handling all the chemo and to make some future plans for surgery, if you could be praying for us as we take in all the information and start to make plans for what comes next after chemo we'd appreciate that.  I just want to make sure we make the best decision possible with as much information as we can.

Thanks again for walking with us on this journey!
Love you all!

Here has been my song this week:
