Update... next phase

Life has been busy! I finally have reached my good week in the round, but it hit me the other day that I'm not 100% ever right now. I don't even think I'm at 75% when I'm finally feeling better and for me that is hard. I push myself to try to do the things I'm used to being able to do and I just can't do what I all I think I can. Admitting that out loud to anyone is hard.  But I'm tired and I tire easy. I'm also dealing with side effects I didn't plan on... my eyes aren't handling chemo well,  I have watery twitchy eyes. I've been fighting off a cold for a week or so now and I'm fighting pretty well as it hit other members of the house pretty hard, I'm still fighting.  All of these things makes life a challenge, not unbearable or even more than we can handle just challenging.  We are getting through this too, and at the end of the day it is what it is. I can't make it go away I just have to find ways to deal with this also. My strength still comes from daily prayer and leaning on the the understanding that this too will pass.

We do have a plan for the next phase. We scheduled my surgery date yesterday. March 4th. I want to state upfront that this is going to be a VERY private time for our family. I do not want visitors at the hospital as things will be difficult for the recovery, if my family needs anything I promise we will reach out to you individually - we'll ask for help or people to be there but it will be a personal invitation. This will be a hard phase. We expect 6-8 weeks of recovery and from everything I know the first 3 weeks will be HARD. We'll try to keep this blog up to date as much as we can so you know how we are doing and what to pray for. And I wanted to let you all know so you can continue to be praying for us as we prepare and get ready for this phase. It's scary but we know God will provide for all we need and that we are praying healing will go well and quickly. There is still lots of specific plans that are going on around this next phase but this is where we sit right now, surgery is on the calendar.

Thank you again for your prayers and your love for us! We appreciate everyone of you for everything you have done for our family and I hope you here my heart in this update and know we feel so thankful for your willingness to love on us!
