Results of MRI ... and preparing
Yesterday was a full day. I had my first antibody only infusions. I seemed to do well with those, and wow what a difference no cold cap, no chemo, no worry it was. I actually didn't mind too much the process although of course I'd rather just be done with it all.
After that we had doctor visits to finalize decisions and next steps for surgery. Everything is a go for the 4th and it's looking like everything I've desired is good to go as well, that is a huge praise! We got the results of the MRI from both the oncologist and the surgeon and both said it was clear! No cancer at all! Praise again to God for that, chemo worked!!! They will test all the tissue from the surgery and verify that we are cancer free but we all are very positive that there won't be any found there either. But it's always good to be sure. Praying for negatives across the board after surgery for all types of cancer.
We did have a little surprise yesterday as we are scheduled for a small outpatient surgery on Monday for lymph node removal just to verify that there is no need for radiation and that immediate reconstruction is a go for the 4th. I'm not overly excited about another surgery but we'll get through it and again it's just a step in the process to make sure that cancer free after surgery is verified! I know God isn't surprised by any of this and He already knows the path we are on and the outcome, but walking by faith is challenging at times. I will say I think it makes the outcome that much sweeter. I have a peace even though my plans are rocked and I'm having to make adjustments to my calendar. Which I don't care for necessarily, it is making me remember that life is unpredictable and we have to be flexible. And it's really our attitude that controls how that goes, I'm trying to be positive and realize that it's all going to work out!
