Today is the day... phase 3 starts
Just got the call and radiation will start today.
I'm feeling a mix of emotions, but I'm glad to start so we can get done. I am keeping my eyes on the prize and staying focused on taking the next steps to get done with this part of the journey. With everything that is going on in the world I am just ready for the next chapter to start, aren't we all feeling this way. I am so thankful for hope of the future.
I have been struggling with motivation as the days are blurring. I'm trying to stay focused on the kids and their schooling but let's be honest, we are all done with the school year and ready for summer to be here. This time of year is always hardest in homeschooling as everyone starts to feel the itch to be done. We are pushing through and will continue to get this year wrapped up well. But the days are hard. I do feel for the parents who were thrown into this new reality as it's a hard process when you are planning on homeschooling, it's got to be a shock to system.
I drove for the first time since surgery yesterday. It was nice to be able to get out, even if it was to just run an errand and I stayed in the car. My recovery is still not 100%, I have discomfort and limitations. I will probably have some of that until the next surgery, it is suppose to get better but it's just the nature of the process. I'm handling it and there are days that is the best you can do.
Our youngest just encouraged me to be excited about radiation to make it better. He & I decided that I'll be excited to get through radiation! If you can pray with us...

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
My desire is to seek Him with all my heart!

- That I'll be able to handle the daily stretching of my left arm as it's the one most limited.
- That my skin will tolerate the daily doses and doesn't blister or burn to badly.
- That I won't be too tired and can still do the things I need to do.
- That my spirit will stay lifted and that I'll keep focusing on the positives.
- That the time will go quickly.
